Icy road conditions resulted in four crashes on Halloween along Route 34 west of Frontenac Street, police said.
Tuesday’s holiday was a chilly one. Snow squalls and 45 mph winds blasted through the Chicago area as trick-or-treaters prepared to take to the candy trail in celebration of the spooky day.
