Jacksonville Passenger Praises Breeze Airways for Early Departures and Top-Notch Service — Frequent Flyers Say ‘Don’t Tell People Our Secret!’

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA — While most airlines continue to battle delays, cancellations, and frustrated travelers, one Florida flyer says she’s found the exception. A Jacksonville woman’s viral TikTok post is shining a spotlight on Breeze Airways, the low-cost carrier that many loyal passengers say is their best-kept travel secret.

TikTok user Peyton Pittman (@thepeytonpittmanpost) shared that she’s been flying Breeze Airways throughout the year and noticed something remarkable about her trips — the airline often leaves early and still lands well ahead of schedule. Her video, now viewed over 85,000 times, has other travelers raving and jokingly warning her not to “ruin it for everyone.”

Passenger Describes Flights Leaving Ahead of Schedule

In her post, Pittman recalled her first flight with Breeze Airways where a gate announcement caught her off guard. “They paged over the intercom like, ‘Hey, everyone’s checked in, ready to go. The captain’s ready to leave. If you all want to come to the gate, we can get out of here,’” she said. The flight took off early and arrived 45 minutes ahead of schedule.

Since that first trip, Pittman said she’s experienced similar patterns — flights departing about 30 minutes before the listed time and reaching destinations much earlier than expected. She added that the airline’s customer service and prices have exceeded her expectations every single time.

Why Breeze Airways Is Winning Travelers Over

Breeze Airways launched in 2021, promising affordable nonstop service between underserved U.S. cities. The company’s model reduces the need for connections through crowded airports, cutting down on the risk of ripple-effect delays.

While not officially documented as consistently early, Breeze has one of the highest on-time percentages (OTP) among U.S. carriers. In October 2025, it reported an 87.28% OTP, compared to Delta’s 83.91% and United’s 80.91%.

Experts credit the airline’s success to three key advantages:

  • Modern fleet of Airbus aircraft that require less maintenance downtime
  • Point-to-point routes that avoid congested hubs and reduce cascading delays
  • Operations at smaller airports that allow faster boarding, taxiing, and turnaround times

Travelers Call It “The Secret Airline”

The comments under Pittman’s video were filled with praise from fellow travelers who say they’ve had similar experiences. One user wrote, “I used them going to Orlando and got there so fast the pilot said we had a shortcut.” Another said, “Flew Breeze early this year — we landed an hour early and left early.”

Others called Breeze their “favorite airline,” highlighting its friendly staff, quiet cabins, and comfortable flights. Some even begged Pittman to stop spreading the word, saying they didn’t want to lose the relaxed atmosphere that makes Breeze unique.

While Breeze continues to expand, frequent flyers are hoping it doesn’t lose its charm. For now, travelers like Pittman are happy to keep boarding early, arriving ahead of schedule, and quietly enjoying what they believe is the most underrated airline in America.
