Homeless Man Stabs Another Homeless Man Multiple Times in Chest, Fort Worth Police Searching For Suspect

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — A violent confrontation between two men experiencing homelessness left one critically injured early Tuesday morning, prompting an active investigation by the Fort Worth Police Department in the East Lancaster Avenue corridor.

According to authorities, central units were dispatched to the 200 block of East Lancaster Avenue at approximately 7:34 a.m. on November 18, 2025, following reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Investigators say the attack occurred during an altercation between two men who were both believed to be living unhoused in the area. The suspect, known locally only by a street name, fled the scene before officers arrived.

“The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition,” officials said Tuesday.

Suspect Remains at Large

As of Tuesday evening, the suspect has not been located or identified by police. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and reviewing nearby surveillance footage to track his movements after the attack.

Police have not yet released a description of the suspect but are urging anyone with information to contact Fort Worth Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477.

Area Known for Ongoing Safety Concerns

The East Lancaster area — a known gathering point for Fort Worth’s homeless population — has been the site of multiple violent incidents in recent months. Community advocates say the area’s lack of consistent safety resources and shelter capacity has contributed to escalating tensions among residents living on the streets.

“This stretch of Lancaster has become a hotspot for desperation,” said one outreach worker. “People are just trying to survive, but when mental health and addiction collide with poverty, it can turn dangerous quickly.”

Investigation Continues

Authorities are maintaining a visible presence in the East Lancaster corridor as they continue their investigation. Police emphasized that no other injuries were reported and that there is no current threat to the broader public.

Anyone with information that could assist detectives is asked to reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County.
