Cobb County, Georgia — Authorities have filed multiple charges after two men were accused of vandalizing a Cobb County high school, causing more than $12,000 in damage during a break-in the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. According to arrest warrants, Micah Zefo and Hunter Bridges illegally entered Kell High School, committing a series of destructive acts on school property.

Suspects Accused of Entering School Property and Damaging Gym Floor

Court documents indicate that Zefo and Bridges entered the school campus without authorization and vandalized several areas inside. One of the most severe incidents involved the school gym, where Zefo allegedly performed “repeated spins and sharp turns” on the hardwood floor using floor scrubbers, damaging the newly refinished surface.

The arrest warrant estimates that repairs to the gym floor will cost approximately $6,000, while damages to two floor scrubbers are expected to total an additional $6,621.

School Bus Break-In and Additional Property Damage Reported

Authorities say one act of vandalism included breaking into a Cobb County school bus and driving it around the school’s parking lot. Zefo is also accused of stealing a name plate from the high school valued at $1,500, adding to the list of property crimes investigators documented.

Court records show Zefo was charged with a combination of felonies and misdemeanors, including:

  • Two counts of entering an automobile with intent to commit theft or felony
  • Burglary
  • Criminal damage, second degree
  • Loitering
  • Criminal trespass
  • Theft by taking

Arrest and Bond Details; Second Suspect Not Yet in Custody

Jail records confirm that Zefo was arrested, taken into custody, and later released after posting a $15,000 bond. According to officials, charges have been formally filed against both Zefo and Bridges, though Bridges has not yet been arrested, and the full extent of his charges has not been disclosed.

District Responds to Incident and Condemns Vandalism

In a statement to Channel 2 Action News, the Cobb County School District confirmed that the acts of vandalism took place at Kell High School, stressing that neither suspect is a current student. A district spokesperson stated that the destructive behavior “will not be tolerated,” emphasizing that the damage caused thousands of dollars in losses and required substantial repairs.

The district added that school property was significantly impacted, and the break-in prompted an investigation leading to charges against both individuals.

Authorities continue to review surveillance footage and additional evidence as they work to locate Bridges and determine whether further charges may follow. The case remains active, and updates will be released as new information becomes available.
