The DuPage County Health Department on Sunday reported 84 new cases of COVID-19 in the county, and two deaths, a man in his 60s and a man in his 70s.
The county now has seen a total of 17,435 coronavirus cases including 560 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of September 22 was 95.7%.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen two days of positivity increases and three days of hospital admission increases. The region’s positivity rate remained flat at 5.3%. Currently, 28% of medical/surgical beds are available and 39% of ICU beds.
