Naperville, IL – December 14th, 2020 -KLA Schools of Naperville and Plainfield are ready for the holidays. This past month has been a month of giving and gratitude for our families, community, and team. Despite the pandemic, we are making the most of this holiday season. Our Schools have not let their focus on health and safety slide, though. We are continuing to go above and beyond our daily practices to ensure everyone’s health remains a top priority within our schools. Cleaning, sanitizing, using our Zono Sanitech machine, and daily health checks are crucial parts of our everyday practices. We also continue our focus on the Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum and our unique enrichment classes.
Giving has been a keyword at KLA Schools this past month. Our Managing Director, Selvei Rajkumar, partnered with local, family-owned restaurants in the area to not only help them but also give an extra thanks to KLA families for their ongoing support during the pandemic. Selvei Rajkumar said, “this was a great way to support our community and families, thus putting the school intention into practice.” KLA Schools believe that strengthening the sense of belonging is an essential need for all people, and what better way to enhance the bond between the community and families by showing support and thanks.
If there is one thing we have all learned this year, it is essential to focus on what brings us a bit of happiness. As a way of saying thank you to the teaching team, Selvei also purchased self-care books for every team member reminding them not to neglect self-care. Erica, the school principal at Plainfield, said, “It can be easy to do with all the demands of work, home, and family. The pandemic has been extremely stressful for many people, and neglecting the care of oneself can take its toll on your health and well-being”. Selvei Rajkumar of KLA Schools says, “she is a huge advocate for her team and wants to stress the importance of self-care.”
