Authorities said the shooting occurred on December 13, when Southern District officers were dispatched around 2:58 p.m. to the 2500 block of Washington Boulevard following a report of gunfire in the area.
When officers arrived, they found a 14-year-old boy suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his body. Police immediately requested medical assistance, and the teen was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
