Above / Naperville Central High School is set to host Crosstown Classics during the week School District 203 recognizes the passage of Title IX in 1972.
Naperville 203 clubs and athletic teams will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX throughout the week of April 18. The celebration will include a variety of school-based educational and extracurricular events for students.
Students at Naperville Central and Naperville North will highlight the contributions of women in their sports and activities on social media using the hashtag #TitleIXin203.
Additionally, informative announcements will be made between quarters or halves of athletic contests. The announcements will highlight the importance of the landmark legislation, which ensures equal educational opportunities regardless of gender.
