NAPERVILLE, IL — A tornado in Naperville late Sunday destroyed 16 homes and sent five people to the hospital, leaving one person in critical condition.”[A]t least a large part of” the damage was caused by a tornado, the National Weather Service said, adding that Naperville, Woodridge and Darien were severely impacted.
High winds ripped through the city’s Ranchview neighborhood, rendering 16 homes uninhabitable. As of 6:30 a.m., Naperville reports at least 125 homes have sustained damage.
