One Person Injured In Two-Vehicle Crash In Otter Tail County
OTTER TAIL COUNTY, MN — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Otter Tail County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Morning Collision On Highway 210
The crash occurred around 8:47 a.m. Saturday, October 4, along Highway 210 near East Dane Prairie Road. Troopers said a Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by 38-year-old Paige Carlson of Fergus Falls, was traveling westbound and waiting to make a left turn when it was struck by a Honda Civic, also heading westbound, driven by Derek Christianson of Underwood.
Christianson sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken for medical evaluation. Carlson was not injured, authorities said.
Alcohol Not A Factor
Investigators confirmed that no alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and airbags deployed in the Civic upon impact.
The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision, with assistance from local Otter Tail County deputies and first responders.
Roadway Safety Reminder
Officials urge drivers to use extra caution at intersections and turning lanes, especially on high-speed rural highways. Maintaining safe following distances and remaining alert to vehicles signaling turns can help prevent similar incidents.
