Benet: Colin Crothers, 6-8 senior center, averaged 13.2 points and 8.2 rebounds last season. He’s expected back in December following a medical procedure, according to coach Gene Heidkamp, who’s pursuing his 11th consecutive season of 20 wins. Senior guards Matt Reid and Colin Gillespie add experience. Junior forward Tyler Van Eekeren is the top newcomer.

Metea Valley: Mustangs return three starters in senior guards Myles Leavy and Kymari McBride. Junior forward Tahj Morgan is athletic. Senior forwards Seann Kelly and Will Hopkins add depth. Isaiah Davis, who takes over the program as coach, is excited about two newcomers in junior forward Alex Moreno and senior forward Marquel Brumfield.

Naperville Central: Cam Dougherty leads the way as the top returnee for the Redhawks (10-17, 3-5). Oakland recruit Chris Conway should be an impact player, and Redhawks receive a boost from Aidan Kramer, the coach’s son.
