NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Sophomore outside hitter Armando Quinones picked up his first All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) honors on Thursday morning, earning second-team recognition.
Quinones led the Vikings with 175 kills while maintaining a .211 hitting percentage. The San Juan, Puerto Rico native had four matches where he totaled 15 or more kills, including a 20-kill performance in the Vikings’ season opener. Additionally, Quinones drove seven service aces, blocked 11 attacks, and added 74 digs. In CCIW action, he accumulated a league third-best 119 kills.
