Meteorologists say the storm may already be producing small hail and could strengthen further as it continues tracking across the region.
The storm was first identified around 8:13 PM CST, with radar imagery showing a concentrated storm core just north of Plano near the Allen area.
Storm Moving Northeast Across Collin County
Radar data indicates the storm is moving northeast across Collin County, potentially affecting several communities over the next hour.
Cities along the storm’s projected path include Frisco, Prosper, Celina, Weston, and Van Alstyne, as the thunderstorm tracks toward northern Collin County and nearby areas. Additional communities including McKinney, Melissa, and Anna could also see impacts if the storm expands while moving through the region.
