The 15th year of the Aurora Holiday Food Drive begins Tuesday amid as much need as ever at the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry.

The perfect storm of post-pandemic inflation, supply chain and employment issues have swirled together to create a situation where pantry stock and resources are down, as demand grows.

The pantry is receiving 10,000 pounds of food less a month from the Northern Illinois Food Bank while feeding twice the number of families it did a year ago.
