WASHINGTON D.C. — Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-IL, 14) announced Wednesday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have awarded Illinois $14.6 million in resources to help mitigate the ongoing coronavirus crisis. The funds were made available through the recently passed Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, Underwood said.

In a statement about the funds, Underwood said, “This funding represents a strong commitment to supporting our community as we deal with this public health emergency and the economic repercussions.”
