Decisions are being made now about Chicago-area festivals, concerts and, yes, the return of fireworks displays. For Chicago, Navy Pier has announced fireworks all during the month of May and is expected to go ahead with an Independence Day celebration as well.
In the surrounding zip codes, area fireworks companies estimate 70% or more of their customers have decided to proceed with Fourth of July fireworks.
