As of January 1, 2020, marijuana has become legal in Illinois, including the City of Naperville. Anyone above the age of 21 can legally carry 30 grams of cannabis without penalty. There have been many questions raised, but the primary fears articulated throughout the Chicago land area are how will this affect our youth? Will our already high crime rates continue to climb? What economic perils lie in our near future? Fortunately, these aren’t questions we must guess at blindly. 

Since 2012 when recreational marijuana was legalized in Colorado, The Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University has been collecting data as to the effects of marijuana and have recently published their studies. This is what they tell us:
