Saahil Sadhwani returned to home to Naperville to quarantine halfway through his spring semester at Texas A&M University to finish out his sophomore year remotely.

What he realized was online learning at home brought about by the coronavirus pandemic lacked a personal touch and was causing many students to experience feelings of loneliness, isolation and depression.

To help combat the emotional decline, Sadhwani’s solution was to reach out to high school friends to help create a platform that encourages college students to post positive messaging on social media.

The outgrowth of the vision is the Student Wellness Initiative, an organization focused on restoring optimism to social media and connecting people through a series of challenges.
