Construction on a compressed natural gas filling station on city land in an industrial part of Naperville is projected to begin in June.

Trillium Transportation Fuels gained city council approval in November to build the station that will dispense the compressed natural gas — a methane stored at a high pressure for use as an alternate fuel to gasoline or diesel — on one acre of land at 1720 W. Jefferson Ave. near the city’s test track.
