NAPERVILLE, IL — The city of Naperville recently eased its outdoor dining regulations to accommodate more businesses with outdoor seating as restaurants and bars begin to reopen to the public. City officials signed an executive order that allows restaurants to have outdoor dining without a permit, in addition to extending outdoor dining hours and allowing for outdoor seating on sidewalks and in some parking spaces.

Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico said in a statement, “We know that the restaurant industry has been hit hard by the statewide order prohibiting dine-in operations. We are hoping this order provides some flexibility for establishments wanting to take advantage of the options available to them in this next phase of reopening our economy.”
