A Naperville woman accused of hitting a parked Illinois State Police squad car, and a vehicle that was pulled over, on I-80 east of Joliet Sunday is facing a Scott’s Law violation. 21-year-old Cheyenne T. Payton is charged with reckless driving and a few other driving violations.
Neither Payton nor the State Police trooper involved were hurt. The driver the vehicle that was pulled over was taken to an area hospital with injuries.
Police say the state trooper had pulled over a white Honda when a vehicle driven by Payton failed to yield and hit the side of the trooper’s squad car and the rear of the Honda.
