NAPERVILLE, IL — Police in Naperville are warning residents to stay vigilant after they have received reports of a text scam.
The text informs victims that they need to call a number to verify a purchase. When the number is called, the scammers pose customer service agents who say they need to cancel the resident’s bank card and send a replacement. They then ask for the resident to confirm their PIN.
