Syrah Home closing after less than a year, but unlikely the downtown building will be vacant for long

After less than a year on the corner of Main Street and Jackson Avenue, Syrah Home is closing.

The home furnishing store that specialized in items from India and Moroccan-inspired lighting opened in March 2018, taking the place of downtown Naperville mainstay Country Curtains.“We’ve tried downtown Naperville here, and between the down months and the up months, there’s not enough in the summer months and the holiday season to keep us afloat,” co-owner Greg Armichsaid. “At the end of the day, sales weren’t enough to support this type of rent.”
