Waubonsie Valley High School student Brynn Drews is paying it “backwards,” only this time it’s for more than a cup of coffee.
With the insight of people in the Naperville and Aurora communities, Brynn is using money she received from a television show challenge to fund efforts that will benefit local organizations.
In January, the teen won $10,000 and 10,000 Starbucks Rewards Stars on Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show for a funny video of Brynn paying it forward – or at least trying to – after getting her wisdom teeth extracted.
DeGeneres asked people to submit a video of themselves doing a good deed by making a purchase for someone at Starbucks using the Starbucks app.
