$6,000 Reward Offered for Information in Wilkin County Farm Burglary Near Barnesville
BARNESVILLE, Minnesota — The Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office has announced a $6,000 reward for information that could lead to arrests and the recovery of stolen property from a farm burglary that took place south of Barnesville late last year.
Burglary Under Investigation
The break-in occurred in December 2024, when thieves reportedly stole cash, personal documents, and a safe from a rural property. According to investigators, one suspect — 37-year-old Benjamin Emerson of Fargo — has already been arrested, but authorities believe additional individuals were involved.
The property owner, who personally offered the reward, hopes the incentive will lead to the return of the safe and its contents, including important financial and legal records.
Reward and Tip Information
Officials say the $6,000 reward will go to anyone who provides credible information that helps recover the missing items or leads to further arrests.
Those with information can contact the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office at 218-643-855 or remain anonymous by submitting tips through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Community Appeal
Investigators are urging residents in the Barnesville area to report any suspicious activity or information they may recall from late December, emphasizing that even small details could prove critical in solving the case.
