‘Bourbon With Orange Juice Is Crazy’: Delta Passenger Orders Bourbon, Then Complains That It’s Liquor

Atlanta, Georgia — A Delta Airlines flight attendant from Georgia has gone viral for her hilarious yet frustrating encounter with a confused passenger who ordered bourbon — and then complained that it was liquor. The bizarre midair misunderstanding, captured in a TikTok video by Savannah (@savannah0191), has garnered more than 6 million views and sparked widespread amusement across social media.

Savannah, a Delta crew member, recounted how the incident began before takeoff when the same passenger confronted her for not wearing a pink uniform during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While some airlines allow attendants to purchase pink versions of their uniforms to support breast cancer research, Savannah said she opted to donate directly instead. “He immediately called me out for not wearing pink,” she explained. “I told him I donated instead, and he just walked away.”

But that was only the beginning of what would become a flight full of absurd complaints.

Bourbon, Coffee, And Confusion At 30,000 Feet

During beverage service, the man once again commented that Savannah wasn’t wearing pink, prompting her to move quickly to take his order. “He ordered coffee and bourbon with juice,” she said in the video. “I handed him coffee and offered cream and sugar, thinking he’d forget about the bourbon.”

When the passenger insisted, Savannah placed a mini bottle of Woodford Bourbon and a cup of orange juice on his tray table — a combination that immediately drew attention online. “Bourbon with orange juice is crazy,” Savannah captioned her post.

Moments later, the passenger reached toward her beverage cart, prompting Savannah to intervene. “Excuse me, please don’t touch my cart. Can I help you with something?” she recalled saying. The man pointed to the bourbon and demanded, “What is this? What is this liquor?

Perplexed, Savannah reminded him that it was the bourbon he ordered. His response: “I don’t want bourbon!” When she asked if he meant bourbon cream for his coffee, he then changed his complaint — asking, “Where are my cookies?” despite refusing snacks earlier.

Internet Reactions: “Flight Attendants Deserve Medals”

The TikTok quickly drew thousands of comments from amused viewers praising Savannah’s composure and sense of humor. One commenter wrote, “This is exactly why I bring treats for flight attendants. You’re literally trapped with these people.”

Another joked, “I think flight attendants should have the option to airdrop one passenger per flight.”

Others highlighted the solidarity shown by another passenger seated nearby, who offered to buy Savannah a bourbon shot after watching the exchange unfold. “Shout out to the woman who understood the assignment,” one commenter said.

Rising Trend Of Unruly Passengers

The story also reignited conversation about increasingly erratic passenger behavior. According to a 2021 Association of Flight Attendants survey, over 85% of flight attendants reported dealing with at least one unruly passenger that year, with more than half witnessing five or more incidents.

For Savannah, though, humor seemed to be the best coping mechanism. She ended her viral video with a laugh and the caption: “Bourbon juice is new.

Her lighthearted retelling has since turned an aggravating workday into an online sensation — proving once again that in the skies, no day is ever the same.
