napervillelocal.com publishes local news and information. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.
Accuracy
We verify facts before publishing, attribute claims to their sources and update stories when new information becomes available.
Fairness
Allegations are described as allegations. People named in crime reports are presumed innocent until proven guilty, and we give subjects of critical stories a chance to respond where possible.
Sourcing
We link to the original source of information whenever practical and credit other publishers whose reporting we reference.
Sponsored content
Paid or sponsored content is labelled and kept separate from our reporting.
