Witness Says Staff Error Sparked Fight
A woman named Rebecca Noel, whose son was reportedly involved, shared her version of events on Facebook. She claimed the situation began when her son’s table received another customer’s order, and instead of the staff addressing the mix-up, they allegedly told the other group, “They have your food.”
“Moments later, those individuals confronted my son and his friends,” Noel wrote. “Within seconds, the situation escalated far beyond a simple misunderstanding — to a violent assault. There is absolutely no excuse for what happened. This never should have escalated to this point.”
Police have not confirmed Noel’s account but stated that the video and witness statements are key parts of the investigation.
Restaurant Left Covered In Blood
Photos from the aftermath show the inside of the San Antonio Whataburger covered in blood, with tables overturned and staff visibly shaken. Fortunately, police reported that no major injuries occurred despite the violent nature of the incident.
