ARKANSAS — A warm and sunny Tuesday is on tap across Arkansas, with high temperatures climbing well into the 80s from the River Valley through the Natural State’s northern and southern communities alike. The only minor weather note on the horizon is a very low rain chance overnight and into Wednesday morning, but most areas are expected to stay completely dry.

Temperatures Climbing Into the Low to Mid 80s Statewide With Texarkana Leading at 84

High temperatures on Tuesday will range from the upper 70s to the mid 80s depending on location, with the warmest readings concentrated across the southern tier of the state. Texarkana leads the pack at 84 degrees, followed closely by El Dorado and Fort Smith at 83 and Russellville matching that same mark in the River Valley corridor.

Central Arkansas including Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Pine Bluff will top out right around 80 degrees, while northern communities including Harrison at 81 and Mountain Home at 82 also join in on the warmth. Even cooler pockets like Mena and Helena are still reaching a comfortable 79 degrees for the afternoon.

Abundant Sunshine and Light Winds Make This One of the Better Days of the Season

Beyond just the temperatures, the overall feel of Tuesday across Arkansas will be enhanced significantly by abundant sunshine and very light wind speeds throughout the afternoon hours. That combination takes an already warm day and turns it into one of the more enjoyable weather days the state has seen in recent weeks.

Communities from Fayetteville and Jonesboro in the north down through Camden, Monticello, and Lake Village in the south will all benefit from the same sunny and calm setup. Outdoor plans of any kind across Arkansas on Tuesday are looking at near-perfect conditions from afternoon through early evening.

Very Low Rain Chances Return Overnight Into Wednesday Morning Before Clearing Out

The only interruption to an otherwise excellent weather stretch comes in the form of very low rain chances that will creep in overnight Tuesday and linger into early Wednesday morning. This is not a significant rain event, and the vast majority of Arkansas communities are expected to remain dry through the overnight hours.

Those with early morning plans on Wednesday should be aware of the slight possibility of light rain before conditions improve. Tuesday afternoon and evening, however, remain completely clear and offer the best window to enjoy what is shaping up to be one of the finer weather days of the spring season across the state.
