Chester County Drug Bust: Deputies Seize Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Guns in Multi-Agency Raid

CHESTER COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — A major multi-agency drug raid in the Great Falls community has led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of large amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, MDMA, and several firearms, according to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office. The Friday operation, executed with help from federal and state law enforcement, marked one of the most significant drug enforcement efforts in the county this year.

Massive Multi-Agency Operation

Authorities said the October 10 raid involved the FBI, ATF, Homeland Security Investigations, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. The investigation began when deputies attempted a traffic stop on SC Highway 97, sparking a short pursuit that ended with the arrest of Nicholas Dooley, a Lancaster County resident. During the vehicle search, officers reportedly found 165 grams of suspected fentanyl, 12 grams of MDMA, and a .45-caliber handgun. Dooley faces multiple charges, including trafficking fentanyl and MDMA, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and failure to stop for blue lights.

Additional Searches Uncover More Narcotics

Moments after the highway arrest, law enforcement officials executed search warrants at nearby homes in the Great Falls area. Inside, investigators discovered over 350 grams of cocaine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl, along with multiple firearms linked to ongoing narcotics distribution. A second suspect, Korey Tavaris Bailey, was arrested at the scene. Bailey has been charged with several trafficking and weapon-related offenses, authorities confirmed. Both men are currently being held without bond at the Chester County Detention Center.

Sheriff’s Message on Zero Tolerance

Chester County Sheriff Max Dorsey emphasized the department’s firm stance against drug-related crime and violent offenders. “My tolerance for drug traffickers and violent felons is zero,” Sheriff Dorsey said. “Our Office will use every tool at our disposal to ensure your path ends in a prison cell for the rest of your life.” The Sheriff’s Office credited cooperation between local, state, and federal agencies for the successful outcome of the operation.

Community Impact and Ongoing Investigation

The Great Falls community, located in northern Chester County, has faced recurring struggles with drug trafficking and gun-related crime in recent years. Local officials say this operation is part of a broader effort to dismantle distribution networks that threaten small towns across the region. Authorities have not disclosed whether additional arrests are expected, but the investigation remains active. Residents are encouraged to report drug activity or suspicious behavior to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office tip line.
