Rocklin Police Arrest Two Suspects Found With Narcotics, Burglary Tools, and Stolen Property
ROCKLIN, CALIFORNIA — Two suspects are behind bars after Rocklin Police Department officers uncovered narcotics, burglary tools, and stolen goods during a proactive overnight operation.
According to Rocklin PD, officers were alerted by the department’s Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) system to a vehicle believed to be connected to recent car burglaries and credit card thefts in the area. The alert prompted an immediate response by the department’s night shift team, who quickly located and stopped the vehicle early Tuesday morning.
Suspects Identified and Arrested
Police identified the suspects as 44-year-old Zachary King of Carmichael and 52-year-old Leah Wilson of Sacramento. Both were taken into custody without incident.
During the search, officers reportedly found multiple controlled substances, evidence of narcotics sales, burglary tools, and stolen property linked to recent theft cases throughout the region.
ALPR Technology Helps Solve Multiple Crimes
Authorities credited the arrest to the effectiveness of Rocklin’s ALPR system, which automatically scans and alerts officers about vehicles connected to open investigations.
“Thanks to our officers’ proactive response and teamwork, several crimes were solved and two suspects are now in custody,” Rocklin PD said in a statement posted to social media.
The department emphasized that the technology continues to play a vital role in addressing property crime and vehicle-related offenses across the city.
Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity and secure their belongings to prevent theft.
